Dominican
Beach Sandflea Bracelet with Amazonite

This is a very eclectic bracelet, decorated
with splashes of amazonite stones, the center piece
is a shiny greenish to turquoise sand flea
shell that I got by trading with another artist
in the Dominican Republic. It closes off with
dark acai and St. Peter’s tears seeds. (Note:
Sandfleas are actually members of the crab family and
are not parasites. They are very interesting
little creatures that are sensitive to vibrations.
They live on sandy beaches, showing up at
sunrise and sunset to feed on microscopic particles
on the shoreline where the water meets the sand. This
bracelet features the shell of the Dominican
sandflea, which retains its natural
color.)
Adjust to the wrist by clasping the seeds
through the loop. The bracelet is 7 ½
inches at its shortest closing point and 10 ½ inches
at its longest. It is 1.7 inches wide.
You
can wash it with gentle soap and a soft brush. You
can wear it in the water too (ocean, swimming pool,
shower) since all of its materials are water
resistant.
