Purple
Amethyst Macrame with Crystal Quartz and
Amber

This necklace features a great piece of brute
purple amethyst stone from Bolivia. I love the strong
energy that emanates from a natural, raw stone that
hasn’t be shaped or polished, and the amethyst in this
necklace looks very powerful, with a beautiful shade of
purple (unfortunately you can’t appreciate it in the
picture). The macramé design is shaped like a big diamond
on the bottom, with the amethyst hanging from it, a round
crystal quartz in the center of the diamond and an amber
drop on top. The rest of the necklace is shaped like
another diamond, but bigger, that goes around the neck,
and has golden color glass beads embedded around
it.
I am very fond of the piece of crystal quartz that
goes in the center: it was a gift from Master Mia
Hua, the
Buddhist master that I was blessed to meet one day while
working at Fort Lauderdale beach. She had just moved to
Florida form California and was walking around, getting to
know the area. I was working under my usual palm tree
selling my jewelry. She invited me to the temple in Tamarac
where I taught macramé to the children and learned Buddhist
teachings. It was a wonderful experience. When I was leaving
she gave me a couple of these quartz pieces for me to
work.
To clasp the necklace insert the jarina seeds
(from the Amazon) into the bead opening. The necklace can
be washed with gentle soap and a soft brush. It can be used in
water since all of its materials are water
resistant.
