The necklace is made in alternating tones of purple, using the double spiral knot. For an elegant, native look.
A beautiful gemstone that naturally blends amethyst with citrine, so each quartz stone will flow from crystal purplish to golden quartz colors. Known as ametrine, in Bolivia, where it is the national stone, it is called bolivianita. In this piece the ametrine stone is conserved in its naturally occurring form. The macrame design is made with contrasting light and purple linen, with a cross geometrical symbol in the center, with the intention to evoke some of the traditional designs of the rugs and cloth of the indigenous people of Bolivia.

To clasp the necklace insert the purple acai seeds, native to the acai palm tree form the Amazon jungle (yea, the same one that gives us the delicious, antioxidant acai berry drink) into the bead opening.

The centerpiece stone is wrapped in green and brown linen, with amazonite stones embedded in the diamond shaped macrame design (double half hitch knot). The same pattern is followed in the rest of the necklace, allowing for incrustations of more exotic amazonite stones, giving it a sort of rugged touch. The different shades of green and brown evoke natural landscapes, like the rainforest and algae covered oceans.

A gorgeous orange Tagua seed, with two shiny seeds from the delicious fruit of the gum tree, and a mysterious looking dark smoked agate stone with an orangish center wrapped in macrame, brought together by a design of brown and orange tones of linen, give life to a special fairy. It is hanging from a necklace of small jasper stones, ready to accompany you in your own magical journey.

The Tagua seed (big orangish seed) is vegetable ivory from a palm tree native to the Amazon jungle. This noble palm is a basic natural resource of different cultures who live in the Amazon, giving them the material to produce their homes, tools, crafts, food and medicines. It’s elegant texture and ivory color allows for a beautiful result when dyed this radiant orange tone. Thanks to it’s beauty and hardness, this vegetable form of ivory is used to create different designs and objects.

Stunning and unique, this rare piece of macrame jewlery features a very attractive fossil stone from the Mexican desert (with fossiled shells that make for eye catching designs), over a wonderful Tagua Seed
This amazing stone from the Mexican desert combines fossilized shells that blend into different designs open to one’s unique interpretation. This fossil stone is polished into a circular shape, and conserves its natural colors.
Topped with a stunning vegetable ivory Tagua seed that I picked in the picturesque town of Jipi Japa in Ecuador, more widely known for it’s talented palm hats artisans.
All brought together in an exquisite macrame knotting with black, bone and brown colors. A powerful amulet, the center piece can be pulled out from the round macrame necklace (with creamy acai seeds), so you can creatively decorate your purse, room or where ever you might want its magic!

The Tagua Seed comes from a palm tree, that grows in Ecaudor’s Napa Valley and other areas of the Amazon jungle. It is a real gift from nature to the people. The locals use it to build their homes, to craft tools and goods, and for it’s medicinal and nutritional value. For example, the leaves are used to make the roofs and for weaving hats, bags and other goods, while the palm oil is also used to cook and for medicinal purposes. They will eat the food from the palm coconut while it is fresh and soft (sort of gluey texture) a stage where they call it “mercocha”. When the little coconut is allowed to harden, it creates the gorgeous Tagua seed, of luscious ivory color with brownish veins running through it. Gratefully, the vegetable ivory from the Tagua is being used to replace elephant ivory. All this means that more Tagua trees are kept alive to produce their coconut, thus helping in the conservation of the Amazon’s natural environment. Definitely, wearing Tagua jewelry is good!
It’s relative, the Acai palm is also of great benefit to us: it produces the incredibly delicious and nutritive acai berry, widely desired for it’s antioxidant power and rich flavor. The acai berry juice has become a popular drink lately, used to energize our bodies, aid in weight loss and to protect from chemicals (like free radicals) entering our bodies and skin. This necklace holds three acai seeds on each side, in it’s naturally occurring creamy color, plus some more seeds to close it.

This unique macrame necklace features a Turquoise Stone from the Four Corners, USA, artfully trapped inside a jacaranda shell with a spider web of waxed linen.
I got this turquoise stone, originally from the Four Corners (US) at a fair in Texas, where I was very impressed by the crafts and jewelry of the native American Indians.
Inspired by the Indian dream catcher, I created this spider web over the shell, which hold the light turquoise in it’s heart. The macrame necklace combines light blue and cream colors.
The Jacaranda shell is a naturally ocurring, wooden seed pod that resembles a turtle shell. It hangs from the Jacaranda tree, carrying and protecting the seeds. With enough sun, the shells fall to the ground and open, freeing the seed, and leaving the shell to be enjoyed in various ways. One is this original piece of macrame jewelry. It is an amazing natural piece, excellent for eco-friendly projects. The jacaranda shell is found in different sizes and slightly varied shapes. Additionally, the leaves and the flowers of the Jacaranda tree are used for medicinal purposes.

Amazonic macrame necklace, that blends the beauty of seeds with the underground treasure of precious stones. This necklace features Bolivia´s national stone, ametrine (amethyst and citrine naturally ocurring together), encased with a linen web in the center of a Jacaranda shell (from a tropical tree). For a exotic look, jarina and acai seeds in cream, brownish and wine colors hang delicately from the shell, and decorate the hand woven macrame pattern.
This necklace features a beautiful raw bolivianita, trapped in a web on a jacaranda seed.
The bolivianita is the national stone of the my country Bolivia, where it is treasured for it’s great beauty. The bolivianita is ametrine stone, that is a natural occurring mixture of amethyst and citrine in the same stone.

The jacaranda is a nice flower tree that grows throughout South America, the jacaranda shells which contain the seeds inside hangs playfully from the tree. When mature they fall to the ground where the sun opens them up. In this necklace I used one half of the shell, which I picked up in Bolivia. It is truly beautiful, a wooden wonder. The size of the jacaranda shells will depend on the tree, some can be very small, of only one inch diameter and very thin like a leaf, while the biggest can be up to 4 inch diameter and one inch thick. The leaf from the tree make a wonderful cough medicine, we just put a couple leaves in hot water and drink it.
