Charming, and elegant, this macrame necklace features two stunning stones: tiger eye and agate. The brownish agate is wrapped with a macrame design using light brown and cream color linen, which swirls down the stone, to allow a gorgeous tiger eye stone shaped like a drop to dangle softly below. The upper part of the necklace consists of an asymmetrical macrame design combining two shades of brown and small tiger eye stones.

To clasp the necklace insert the beads into the opening and adjust to the desired length. The necklace can be washed with gentle soap and a soft brush, and can be used in water since all of its materials are water resistant.

The closely knotted macrame design is made mostly with brown linen, discovering some areas of apple green linen. It is decorated with exotic amazonite stones and two acai seeds, which are also used in the closing clasp. To close the necklace insert the acai seeds (from the Amazon) into the bead opening. It can be washed with gentle soap and a soft brush, and used in water since it’s materials are water resistant.

I picked these shells in the beautiful beach Montezuma, in Costa Rica’s pacific coast, home to some of the most impressive natural landscapes I have had the fortune to experience, like the magical waterfall in Playa Tambor, where you can see the river fall directly into the ocean. And you can bath under the flow by standing on the rocks right before the water joins with the ocean! Sublime…

Or the huge waterfall hidden in the jungle, just a 30 minute walk from the colorful and cozy beach town Montezuma. You can either stay at the first waterfall, or hike up the mountain and walk over the river stones for like 30 minutes until you reach the tallest waterfall, where you can splash in it’s pool. Here, some brave ones dare take the 8 feet high jump, but I just enjoyed the safety of smaller jumps! Maybe next time?

Many hours of knotting during rainy days in San Jose… my new home is a very rainy place, that means plenty of indoor hours listening to the the hypnotizing sounds of the raindrops falling to the ground… This is what I tried to express in this necklace. Seriously, it rained so much, every single day during months, that creating this piece was almost compulsory, a part of my adapting to this new environment.
It features a smoky agate shaped like a rain drop that I got in Brazil a couple of years ago when visiting the Iguazu falls… plenty water there too! It has a macrame design embracing the stone, and thick weaving to rest upon your neck, all with plenty of linen with water-bluish colors, so the necklace will flow down your chest.
To clasp the necklace insert the acai seeds into the bead opening. Native to a plam tree from the Amazon, this is the seed of the incredibly delicious and nutritive acai berry drink, widely desired for it’s antioxidant power and rich flavor. The acai berry juice has become a popular drink lately, used to energize our bodies, aid in weight loss and to protect from chemicals (like free radicals) entering our bodies and skin. Here you can also enjoy the plant’s benefit on your jewelry! The necklace can be washed with gentle soap and a soft brush. It can be used in water since all of its materials are water resistant.
